Santa Maria della Scala

The largest museum complex in Siena, Santa Maria della Scala was in the middle ages a hospital for both pilgrims travelling south to Rome and for the sick of the city. Today, it houses medieval art and objects that tell much of the story of medieval Siena. Centrally located, it is about a 15 minute walk from La Villa.
