Cathedral

A national architectural treasure, the Cathedral of Siena is one of the most popular destinations in the city. In contrast to the more typically pure Romanesque architecture of Tuscany, Siena Cathedral displays the influence of Gothic styles. Another peculiarity of the cathedral is that it remained unfinished, a lasting testament to the Black Death which devastated Siena in 1348. Walking from La Villa to the Cathedral will take around 15 minutes.
